What you'd do

1. 01Provide practical and legally appropriate employee relations guidance on performance management, disciplinary action, and workplace conflicts to HR partners and business leaders. Participate in termination discussions and corrective actions with staff and leaders as needed
2. 02Conduct and document thorough, impartial, and timely HR investigations, maintaining confidentiality and objectivity. Determine findings of facts and any violations of Amgen policies and prepare clear, concise investigation summaries and supporting documentation to support these findings
3. 03Partner with the occupational health, benefits, staff and managers to analyze and respond to reasonable accommodation requests, leaves of absence, and return to work following them
4. 04Partner with local HR Business Partners and the broader Staff Relations team to ensure nuanced and compliant ER practices
5. 05Track and update cases in the company’s case management system

What they're looking for

1. 01Ability to Work on site at one of Amgen’s manufacturing facilities in Rhode Island, Cambridge, North Carolina and/or Ohio.
2. 02Strong Human Resources background with 4+ years of experience in Employee Relations
3. 03Experience advising on performance management, discipline, and involuntary terminations of employment
4. 04Knowledge and experience of employment laws and ER practices
5. 05Experience conducting internal HR investigations
